팔다([pal-da/sell]) is the basic verb for selling things. In polite speech, say 팔아요([pa-ra-yo]). The opposite is 사다([sa-da]), "to buy".
팔다 is an ㄹ-irregular verb. The final ㄹ in the stem drops before ㅂ, ㅅ, and ㄴ. So 팔 + 세요 becomes 파세요, and 팔 + ㅂ니다 becomes 팝니다. Before other endings, ㄹ stays: 팔아요, 팔았어요, 팔고, 팔지.
In ads, Koreans write 팝니다 (pam-ni-da), for example 중고 자전거 팝니다 (Used bicycle for sale). To ask a price you can say 얼마에 팔아요? (eol-ma-e pa-ra-yo?, "How much do you sell it for?").
팔다([pal-da/sell]) means "to sell". It is the basic verb for giving a product to a customer and getting money.
